if u make a layer with shift channels alpha=blue only, others off and add a adjustment layer above set alpha=saturation, others off mode stencil alpha, both layers add a alpha levels and play with the input black and white can key anything. I almost never have to roto anymore becuse sat and alpha key together. If that fails, it’s still faster to use autotrace than the pencil tool.

I tried to get it to work but it relinks to original footage even precomposed. It even locks itself to the 1st frame of a layer. Since timestretch doesn’t affect it, I doubt even a script will work to fix it. I’m at a loss. Sorry…
btw, even copying and pasting it breaks its linking.

I only know of 2 kinds. Miniatures and pure 3-D cgi, both of which AE isn’t going to do.

I just remembered that there’s a fast&dirty way to fix this. Simply apply color correction/auto levels and it will reduce 80% of the flicker by auto adjusting each frame to a standard max range.
