The main selling features of a raid are:

Faster thru-put.
Redundancy/protection.

These depend on how you configure your raid.

If you just want mass storage, get a ext. box that holds 8 drives. Or 6, or 4 –
Buy drives as you can/need them. The drives continue to have more capacity moving forward.

Are you wanting to create a mov file with NO background? Keyed out? NOT putting background in, in AE?

You have to render out with ALPHA channel. Look to the codecs that support alpha channel like ProRes444 and Animation.
In FCP right click to select composite modes.

Right, in the camera’s thumbnail settings, there is a repair clip option.
Have the P2 Card in the cam. Select the clip with the issue and choose “repair Clip”

THEN,

transfer the clip over to the comp. again and check it out.

You rip the DVD to .mov files.

IMPORT them.

You do NOT L&T or L&C quicktime files sitting on your system already.

Check your offset in FCP prefs.

Exporting “self-contained” would get rid of this problem.

Quit app.
Trash Prefs.
Reboot.
Repair permissions.
Launch app.
Start a new Proj. if need be.

The edit could become template like as well I suppose.
Maybe the videos are similar in one form or another?
Once in the can, you can spit em out quickly.

You said it’s fine in camera – have you tried the repair clip option?
