Thanks for your reply Kevin.

When I choose “none (project only)” a project and txt report are generated. This is fine, however the new project is linked to all the old media, so it doesn’t help in this situation.

My version of AE CS6 is up to date with all the current updates. I have tried rebooting the computer with no success. I have not tried re-installing the program. Is that the next step? Should I be trashing preferences somewhere?

Hmm, apparently because I had two intersecting paths in a group I wasn’t adding the side color properly. Problem’s solved now, thanks for the tips.

Here is an image of the object I’m trying to manipulate:

This is the setting that I would assume controls the color of the side of the shape:

I just want to make the extruded side a similar color to the background, not black. The control pictured above has no apparent effect on my object. Thanks for your input.
