    The lag I was experiencing was with changing parameters when paused. Like I said Im not too concerned with realtime playback with the set up I have. Im getting around 22-24fps playing back 3K R3D files with 3-4 nods applied – suits me perfect!

    I new flsh was cpu hungry. I even have it turned off with Mozilla on my Windows laptop and PC. But honestly did not expect it to have such an impact on my iMac!

    Thanx for your input, guys. Im not expecting DR to playback at full frame rate. And of course Color doesn’t do that either.

    What I was referring to was the lag when trying to adjust a parameter of any sort. Not even at playback. If I was to drag say the Gamma slider up or down, the actual change it the picture would lag heavily.

    Glad to say I’ve realized where the problem is… Its the Flash content on a website i’ve got open in Chrome browser running in the background! As soon as I exit Chrome or even move to a page with no Flash content it all goes back to normal in DR.

    Strange that…
