If I change my sequence settings to no field dominance on the ProRes it seems to make the motion crisper as well as the graphics. will this effect broadcast at all?

    Another Question:

If I have ProRes SD footage. Is it better to work in a timeline that is set to “None” compression (which requires me to render the sequence) or to work in a sequence set to “ProRes”? When I render the footage in a “None” sequence and export the footage it looks better than prores, but the interlacing on movement is way more apparent than when exporting a prores 9at least it is on my cinema display). Now, when I upload to DG is this going to matter, or is it just the fact that i am not viewing this on a broadcast monitor? Also, the graphics appear cleaner when I use the “none” compression setting over a “ProRes” sequence.

yeah Im DG certified and have the dropbox and use sorenson to convert my masters to MPG for broadcast. I just wanted to know if proRes was a good enough start (over uncompressed) to have a satisfiable deliverable once broadcasted. Also, when i export do i use “none” or “ProRes” as the compression type before I send it to Squeeze for the DG template? Thanks for yor quick response man. Much appreciated

im just gonna chime in here with a question. I have some dvcpro hd 1080i footage. in the format tab i can choose between standard(1920×1080) and dvc pro hd (1440×1080) rasters. I was told to transcode the material to DNxHD 145 because it was less of a resource hog. BTW i am not outputting back to DVC PRO HD, im going to quicktime ref files. the only way i have the option to transcode the material is by selecting the standard raster format. is all of this useless and redundant, or am i proceeding in the most efficient workflow method? any help would be awesome, thanks
