Perhaps I misunderstood your first question – we export in H.264 but the footage we are editing is Apple ProRes 422. Sorry if I gave the wrong answer. Does this change things? Thanks for the help so far… And what do you mean by an unsupported codec?

Thanks Rafael. I have checked and all the sequence presets are correct. It is not the Zoom files that is the problem as they sync fine with the camera audio, it is just the MIDI drum track I am trying to add.

Thanks Walter, I’ll take a look. The drum machines the band use are midi-powered, and they’ve suggested this might be causing inconsistencies in timing. If this is the case, and I can see where there is a slippage, is there any way out, or will I have to concede? I suppose I could start cutting up the drum track and trying to match it if I’m feeling meticulous…?
