Resolve is designed to be used with Blackmagic video I/O hardware for proper monitoring. Instead of looking at computer monitors, buy a proper video monitor and connect it to a Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor ($145) video I/O box.
Regarding affordable broadcast monitors, Flanders Scientific sells a broadcast LCD monitor (AM210, $1995) that’s in the same price range as the Ezio computer monitor that you listed.

Yes, we’re still using XSAN. I don’t know the exact configuration, but I’ve been told that it’s using Promise hardware.

In editing terminology, what you are describing is an overwrite edit. What you want to accomplish is referred to an insert edit. An insert edit will move all of the content on the track further down to accommodate the insertion of a new clip, whereas an overwrite edit will simply cover over any existing content that lies beneath the new clip.

I’ve owned a Biomorph Personal Desk since 1998. It has two curved surfaces that are height adjustable via hand crank. It’s built like a tank, and has served me well over the years.
Unfortunately, the model I purchased has since been discontinued (they only sell a much more expensive motorized version now), but Biomorph’s other desks are equally well built and ergonomically designed. They are on the pricey side, but I’d say they are equal or greater quality to Middle Atlantic’s products.

I agree with Dave. The juddering appears to be a frame rate mismatch between the source material and the sequence.
Your sequence is 25p. If you are editing in source material that is not 25p (i.e. 23.976 or 29.97), the result would look like the video you posted. If you are incorporating any footage that is not 25p in your 25p sequence, the mismatch in frame rate is responsible for the juddering.
Try changing your sequence settings to 50i instead of 25p. Premiere Pro will then attempt to add pulldown to any non-25p footage in order to better blend it with the 25p footage. If frame rate mismatch is your issue, then this should help.
