Thanks a lot, I’m using the MAC OS to make a disk image now. Unfortunately I bought DVD DL-R, and the OS can only make a disc image for a DVD DL+R, so I’ll have to buy some more DVD’s but hopefully this works.

    Thanks for the help!

Thank you for the reply. I am using the OSX Finder to try to burn the dual layer disc. I have Toast 6 Lite, any idea if this version of Toast should do a dual layer disc?

Also how do you make an .mov file into an image file?

Thank you for the extensive response. We have a fairly simple html/css website that has some javascript on it, “shadowboxes” for displaying flash videos. We are predominately a Mac based office, with one PC in our midst. We ran a variety of scans on that computer and did find a significant chunk of malware, also our (old) ftp password was easy to guess and similar to other passwords that we had.

We cleaned up that computer and plan to put some sort of antivirus software on our macs. We are and office of only two or so people, so no one can really “walk up to our open work station”. As well we don’t really use our computers in public spaces except during travel on laptops, and for that we stay with our computers of course to prevent actual theft of the computer itself! Also, we are a non-commercial website, so no e-commerce here.

any suggestions for good malware detection programs for a Mac would be appreciated!

    Thank you for your help.

I am running MPEGSTREAMCLIP Version 1.9.1 (1.9.1), on a Mac. So you might need to update your version. On this version you- File>Export to other formats>Select Flash Video(FLV) in the drop down menu.

    Good Morning,

I just opened MPEGSTREAMCLIP and imported a clip, and found the FLV export option follow this path.

File>Export to Other Formats>Flash Video-and there it is.

I have Flash CS3 so that might be why it works for me. BUT give it another try any way, make sure that you have the most up to date vesion of MPEGSTEAMCLIP.

Or just try the free <https://www.zamzar.com/>.

    Best of luck-Alan

    Hey All,

People were looking for a quality converter that is cheap or free. The best thing that I have found that is FREE is MPEGSTREAMCLIP. It is FREEWARE and down loadable. Its basically a front end to Quicktime. But anytime FCP can’t play well with a weird codec or a I want to do a conversion to Flash this handy and easy program does the job.

    Download available at:<https://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html>

Just drag a video into the interface once you open it, go to the export menu and explore. Do some test exports to fine tweak what you need.

Thanks for the advice, I got that far after posting this. I then called AJA and I could not get audio back out of the main XLR audio outs. He had me play the audio, I got levels the tape button was depressed, the “assign to main mix” button was depressed and I could monitor the audio from the phones out.

The IO refused to see any audio coming out of the mixer and when we took audio out of one of the main XLR outs and plugged it into the back of our Beta SP UVW-1800 deck we were not able to get any levels on the front of the deck even when pressing record. The only advice AJA could give was to put 1/4 inch converters on the RCA out cords coming out of the VHS deck. I’m not sure that we have such converters.

We are using a Mackie 1202VLZ Pro-12 Channel Output board.

    Any ideas?
