Click on Account & Settings at the top. Then click on Blog Login in the sub nav bar. If you are logged in it will auto generate your blog account.

Most animated banners on the net now are made in Flash. You can create these sort of banners using After Effects export to flash video feature which makes it so you really don’t need the Flash application as it even will create the HTML file for you.

Check out this tutorial on creating Flash Videos for the Web Using After Effects and other programs in Adobe CS3.

I’d recommend Camtasia Studio – which you may see in the right side bar but they are currently still developing their Mac software – you might try their JingProject

I haven’t tried it but their demo video looks pretty cool.
