Nick,
I have an Adaptec card that I use quite frequently without any issues. As stated above, there is a good chance that there is a problem in the system rather than the card itself. DO you have a lot of background processes running or any other programs that might cause the dropped frames? If not, try capturing with ScLive and see if it drops frames or not.

Interesting article. What is really interesting is that BBC is primarily moving to FCP rather than Avid.

Regarding Premiere Pro, well I guess only time can tell. There have certainly been a lot of improvements from the Premiere 6.x days.

Zazismith said that he had no audio and I told him where the audio would be. And considering that the extra ordinary size would not fit on a DVD, I reccomended him to another program, that would automatically do it for him. Don’t really see your point here.

And instead of criticizing others, how about helping?

Are you referring to the magic bullet plugins or something else? If it is something else can you provide a link to them?

Sorry for being a little abrupt on the last post. Had to head out real quick…

Anyway, I do understand that I would need to start at a lower level and that is not a problem at all. I don’t mind working my way up. As far as the demo reel goes, I will finish it pretty soon and will ask a couple of people to critique it. Another thing that I forgot to mention in my first post is: How do I really go looking for these jobs? Do I go to every production company and start giving them my demo reel?
