April 17, 2005 at 10:02 pmCould you let me in on how it would work, and what kind of additional hardware you’d need?
It sounds intriguing but I’m not sure how much use I’d be able to make out of it. It would be nice to have native knob control instead of keyboarding everything.
Many thanks.

April 17, 2005 at 10:12 pm+ workgroup editing? Is it the end of Avid…?
We’ll have to see if they tweaked as much under the hood. The new scaler is a good sign.

April 17, 2005 at 11:07 pmMulticam editing of up to 128 sources with realtime playback of up to 16 angles
* Multichannel audio with support for up to 24 channels in and out
* External control surface support
* Subframe audio keyframing to 1/100th of a frameI think these features will make the difference for professional users

April 17, 2005 at 11:23 pmthe subframe audio keyframing was already there. I don’t know if it is 1/100th, but it is already pretty precise…

April 17, 2005 at 11:32 pmThis is more a function of The Motion File format being essentially in a QT wrapper I believe. This way Adobe doesn’t have to do a thing.

April 18, 2005 at 12:52 amAnyone see or hear about new keyframe functions. How about copy and paste of keyframes for starters. How about timecode display in log and capture during digitizing

April 18, 2005 at 12:14 pmNo and no, Did anybody mention the loss of Soundtrack from the FCP bundle? Trading Soundtrack for multicam. Not sure if that’s a good deal for many users.
