xml issue Premiere to FCP7

Hey Tim

All sequences from same footage….clips r different in that one sequence though. I just recut
in FCP…not a big deal….though strange….I don’t go from PP to FCP very often…I am however
beginning to transition to PP but since I have your expert advice to tap in to a few questions on
PP…..Why is it that when you go from list view to icon view shots r not in same order? I have FX
Factory Pro and use their transitions a lot …current pp cant just drop in those transitions like
in FCP ….will Adobe be addressing this? When is CS7 officially being released? Thanks again for your time.

The icon/list view switch blows the order…Adobe knows it…they’ve been hearing about it a lot. I don’t know if you’ll see anything this next drop, but Adobe has been listening pretty intently lately (and like many things prior to release with non-disclosure agreements, etc…those who tell don’t know and those who know can’t tell…release date is in Adobe’s hands).

I’d need a bit more detail on the “transition like FCP” thing. You should be able to just drop it on the edge of a clip or an edit and it should grab…

What I meant on the FX factory transitions is that in FCP you can just drag the effect between
2 clips and u have your trans….in PP you have to keyframe the trans….very cumbersome
and time consuming. Only FilmImpact trans work the way they should.

Hmmm… do they have presets of some kind that don’t load into Premiere Pro? If they’re a transition, isn’t the default to just execute the change over the frame length of the transition?

…sorry, I think I’m missing something here. (But I’m not familiar with FX Factory transitions.)
