I think the best way right now is to backup to a large hardrive. 250gb hardrives are less than buying DVCPRO HD tapes. If the stuff you are doing is critical back it up twice. 250gb can give you about 250 minutes. Enough for most projects. 2 500gb drives would be enough for most indie features. In a perfect world the hvx would come with 2 4gb cards. Then tape could finally rest in peace.
