I just have the usual Capture Scratch folder on the raid and I simply let FCP create a folder within the Capture Scratch folder for each project. Couldn’t be easier. Maybe I’m missing something here…

As I said earlier, I have two raids, both with hot swap capability, and several client jobs on client owned firewire drives, and all files and all renders need to be directed appropriately. Since FCP can’t remember what its doing on each project I happy Preference Manager can.
