December 12, 2005 at 7:27 pmso… yea… newest probs— the whole LHe and the SATAe thing- it is an 8bay sata raid configuration out of the Highpoint card with the “harmonica” being the intermediary. I said we were losing the drive- which may have been the drives… but as of recent we plugged a new sata array and lost the computer— so something here is not kosher. I’m still eliminating user error, but as of yet I, personally, wouldn’t venture on the the whole “e” path. a couple more weeks/ a month… ish.
kona seems fine- just remember the diff with 8lane and 4lane and which one your product is actually made for.

January 13, 2006 at 2:39 amDefinitely a monkey! I’ve got the Kona LHe in a G5 Quad, Huge drive, and fibre channel. It has issues, however. It won’t boot without flashing the PRAM – we think it might be a videocard thing. The output for some reason is not as clean as it should be, especially with moving text. If there’s anybody else out there with ideas or who are in the same pain, let me know.

What format are you editing in?
Do you have the Video Processing set to Best Quality under the Motion Filter effects?
