September 1, 2006 at 9:06 pmI can’t get to the install discs to check, but I believe Apple support is wrong. Unless it changed in v5.1, going back to at least v4 and perhaps earlier, the license has specifically said that the software can only be installed on one machine at a time. There is nothing within the terms of the license agreement that allows for it to be installed on more than one machine, tower or laptop.

September 2, 2006 at 1:36 amThere was an earlier post regarding this a few months back and it was stated right on apple’s site that you could install on your tower AND your laptop. As a single operator I must commend apple for allowing it. I’ll probably buy a laptop from them now, just for logging on those 2 hr. ferry rides I take. Actually I’ll probably end up moving down to the beach.

September 2, 2006 at 6:38 amYou’re quite right. It has been changed in the 5.1.1 license. Which I guess means that loading it on two machines is a license violation for those running earlier versions.
All the best,
Tom
