September 21, 2010 at 11:45 pmFor Windows PC you need Sony ClipBrowser. The other stuff is Mac/FCP specific.
There will be a new utility coming from Sony as soon as the end of this month though, replacing ClipBrowser I believe. -

June 4, 2012 at 9:13 pm[pius gyang] “want to find transfer drivers for xdcam ex”
Copy the link below into your browser’s URL address window:
https://support.sonybiz.ca/esupport/Navigation.do?filetype=Software
At the top of the page type this into the search field:
driver Ver. 1.0.52020
The search will take you to a page that has two (2) files for download. Choose the second one that looks like this:
SxS Device driver Ver. 1.0.52020 for Mac (Oct 2010)
SxS_driver_V1.0.52020_forMac.zip– Don

March 25, 2013 at 9:17 pmthis link was very helpful. Thank you
https://www.servicesplus.sel.sony.com/sony-software-model-PDZKP1.aspxI did get one component that wasn’t available when I installed it:
-the XDCAM Driver Software
Is there a link I can view to get that for my MAC OSX /FCP7While trying to use the XDCAM Transfer App I also got this error:
Error Scanning Device…and list of codes that went with it.The Video Footage plays just fine in QT and Content Browser..but all digital in FCP7…both in the viewer and TL
any thoughts as it why? Is there a FCP7 setting I need to change?
thanks for your help. -

February 14, 2015 at 7:33 pmHi everyone,
I’m terribly confused. I have a Sony XDCAM PXW-X70 and am successfully editing in Premiere. Glad I made the switch from FCP7, since Premiere can ingest anything! But meanwhile, I need to give some raw footage I shot to another person editing with FCP7. I don’t have the files on the card anymore, they are archived on my hard drive, under the file structure top/PRIVATE/XDROOT/Clip.
I need to figure out how these can be imported into FCP7. I installed the XDCAM EX Log and Transfer Plugin 1.2, but no luck.
BTW, the clip are 2K if that makes any difference, recorded at 50mp/s.
Hope someone can help. I am running on OS 10.9.4.

February 22, 2016 at 7:43 pmHi!
Did you find the answer anywhere? I’m having the same problem. But I am editing on FCPX.
My problem is not even to bring the footage inside FCPX, it’s because I have to send the footage to a colleague , renamed and tagged and the way it is showed on the SD card is not working when I rename because its under Private – XDROOT – clip.
Let me know ,
Thanks
