You’re very welcome. Make sure to take that copy to another Mac and try and open it and make sure that none of the media files are missing just to be safe. ????

Hi all. I wonder if I can jump on quite an old thread…!

I am editing a documentary roughcut with a library of around 5.5tb at the moment. Wanting to keep a back of progress as the edit comes along, I’ve simply being copying the library folder in finder as one huge file. That’s getting to be a pretty long task. So recently I tried copying the project file only, dropping the whole projects folder into the library (using ‘show package contents’ etc in finder) expected to see the updated projects when opening fcpx on the second drive, but it isn’t appearing. Has anyone tried this method – am I doing something spectacularly wrong?

    Thanks!
