June 23, 2009 at 9:47 amHdmi cable to extend the theory failed to do so long.
If you only collect video from the camera on the theory that the shorter the distance the better
If you are from the collection bd video player, you can say that the market players have the bd copyright protection can not be collected.
The other is as said above with a few good lines and may need to relay the signal amplifier -

June 30, 2009 at 8:54 pmPlease keep in mind that HDMI cable do not work like analog cables. The signal does not degrade over time. When the cable gets to long (or is of low quality) the signal will be there and perfect one foot, and the next it will be gone.
So if you get signal out of the other end…it should be full quality.
Of course….SDI works great for this, and you can always consider converters at the end. A 100′ cable is major spendy. So the functional question, is are the converters and SDI cheaper? Maybe. Definately less problematic, and if you get a broken end on an SDI cable you can always put a new connector on. Your money is in the point devices not the cable.
Food for thought.

Joshua
