Were you running Vegas from a drive other than your drive C?
If yes, that’s never a good idea as Windows likes everything to be in one place.

I believe I was. Now it is on C drive and with the clean boot and on c drive it seems to work ok..I have a good test now ready to go. I am ready to render a project of 55 minutes of stills, video and audio. Based on c drive. Will read some news first before doing the render.
