April 13, 2006 at 7:32 pmGood day Peter,
I have been looking over you list as well as the rest of the replies, but I in my opinion things such as Photographer blocks shot
and Officiant limits shooting position are things we deal with at least once a month. In my contract and meetings with the couple I make them quite aware of things that may happen during the day, a CYA, but I stress to them about church location and the Officiants rules to that particular church and also that try as I might, sometimes the photographer gets in the shot. It is going to happen, count on it. But I don’t think that these issues are reason for a refund. Thanks,
John

April 14, 2006 at 3:48 amYes – I agree. It’s kind of like data errors. Type 1 are unrecoverable, type 2 can be corrected unless a bunch of them arrive at once.

April 14, 2006 at 5:05 amHuh, that’s interesting that in your market, you have to warn the bride that the photographer might get into a shot. That would never occur to us. Here in Montreal, I shoot for a studio that 90% of the time, covers both the photography and video. Thus, we are hired and go out as a team.
I purposely put the photographer in many of my shots, several of which will probably make the final video. We figure it’s part of the day, and should be included. Of the over 100 videos I’ve edited for them, only once has a bride asked to not have the photographer in the video (and that was before the wedding even happened).
Perhaps it’s a different story when you don’t work with the same photographers all the time…It’s true that on the odd occasion that I work with a photographer outside of out studio, I hesitate to put him/her in the video.
Ciao,
Vito

May 9, 2006 at 5:51 pmMy greatest fear is Hard Disc Failure towards the end of an edit.
We can start all over with some recent backups, but dateline will be missed and backlogs accumulate.
