I’ve been experiencing the same issue since I switched over from Final Cut a couple years ago. For all my career I’ve relied on the use of a wacom tablet in editing session because of how much it speeds things up.
I’m still using it whenever possible in Premiere and just trying to push through all the glitches and unpredictable behaviours that occur. Especially with keframes.

I switched to Adobe because I believed in them over Apple as being devoted to software development for professionals… but it’s very disillusioning to see how long this issue has been left unresolved.

I have the Intuos 4 Medium and it works perfectly. I think way back in CS6 I had the crazy audio level thing … but certainly since CC it works 100%.

I travel a lot so the medium is just right … if I was at a permanent work station I’d go for a large as I also use it for AE and PS.

    Cheers,
    Michael

This is still a problem for us. Colorista is a plugin we use for basic color correction and when we lift the Wacom pen, the value we’re adjusting in the color wheels freaks out and skates off wherever it wants to go. This was not a problem in Final Cut Pro 7. It would be great if Adobe paid as much attention to fixing longstanding problems as they do introducing cute new features, but now that most of us are on subscription it seems their incentives are reduced.

And – this is both with Wacom Intuos 3 as well as Wacom Intuos Pro.

Joe: Paul Jones found an older tablet driver that works better for me here, but it’s not perfect.

I keep a wireless mouse close by for finicky work the tablet won’t handle (and for using the scroll wheel to zoom in and out in the main window of Element3D).

    good luck,
