    Well you can use Apple quicktime on Windows if you buy the quicktime mpeg-2 component which seams cheaper than using the AVS software, I have the component on the Mac side since I use Final Cut studio (it installs it).

    Yes I saw this, but thought it might be included with the Quicktime
    on the MAC that I am getting. Thought I would wait until I get the
    MAC and see what I have available. You are right the cheaper
    solution is to add the MPEG component from Apple.
