July 3, 2010 at 5:27 amActually Vegas 9 (32 bit) also crashes when I try to insert an AVI that’s been created by Cineforms’ Neo HDV HD link. (Strangely, the same files play fine in 64 bit Vegas 9, Vegas 8.) as well as Windows media player – I’m thinking it’s got to be a bug in Vegas 9 32 bit version.
Any advice? Thanks – Tod

Or something with the 32-bit Cineform codec. Understand that there are two Cineform codecs, one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit. You might try re-installing the Cineform 32-bit codec. If that doesn’t help you should contact Cineform support as well as Sony support. In the mean time, use the 64-bit version of Vegas.
