Using full resolution of large still image

Go to Sequence -> settings. The compressor used is down on the bottom left.

I found a good one to use that is pretty common is DVCPro HD…that codec kept a lot of things in real time…and the pictures could stand a lot of scaling with a small amount of loss.

im not sure i have the same settings as you… i have options like DV Ntsc 48kHz, DV PAL 32 kHz Anamorphic, Apple Intermediate Codec 720p25… will any of those help the situation?
