Ultrascope anomaly?

I just thought I would update this thread for the benefit of others who subsequently read this.

The problem I was having was an apparent compatibility issue with the motherboard in the Dell Vostro. I was able to purchase an HP xw4600 to replace the Dell. The Ultrascope has been running for almost 3 days now and is still performing flawlessly. Thank you Bob and Kristian for your input.
