    David,
    I was responding to your statement (the one I quoted, and again below), where you said Consumer level drives carry a one year warranty. That’s just plain wrong, not an omission.
    I quoted Seagate’s warranty information as prove it was wrong. I also used Maxtor’s 3 year warranty to correct the wrong information. I had no opinion
    about all the other, so no skirting either. 🙂

    Thank you to Steve, Walter, Ed, David, Arnie, and especially Mat for your input. All your comments were informative and insightful.

    Mat, if you’re on vacation then you’re not supposed to bring your laptop with you. I think there’s a law about this somewhere. Please put it back in your suitcase and forget you’ve got it with you 🙂 And thanks for your feedback.
