[Michael Mench] “Unless they changed it in an update after I gave up on TM I’d say you cannot.”

There was a problem with TM on some machines before the latest update to the OS. I would imagine you were among those with that problem Captain. Give it another shot…

Here was my original post over at apple.com

Maybe I had already hosed it by the time I wanted to restore.

But I still recall just seeing ONE date after I put the system instal disc in and restoring from Time Machine. Plus, I couldn’t just drag folders because it didn’t have the same permissions. I was hosed.

Hate to say it, but I thought I could just (yes, like a pc) tell it to revert back to *this* date.

PS… “give it another shot..” I hope to NEVER have to do that again… but yes, I’ve got a free drive… I’ll start it up again tonight before going to bed.

If Time Machine is doing ANYTHING (preparing, backing up, cleaning up, etc.) My FCP locks up completely. Even if I try to launch FCP while TM is backing up, the welcome screen will sit there until TM is finished.

    MB Pro 2.2GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB RAM, OS 10.6.8, FCP 7.0.3.
