We have been with “The Executive Producer” from Imagine for over a decade, updating as necessary. No problems whatsoever with integration. We couldn’t live without it at this stage.

I am also on the hunt for a 3rd party logging system. Do either CatDV or Pilotware VLS Digital offer multi-user interface without having to purchase multiple licenses? I am looking for something more or less temporary until I can implement a FinalCut Server. Thanks!

I have been using TEpX by imagineproducts, its for windows, and hdlog also by imagine. it sort of works, but i am having a VERY bad time with the osx version, HDlog v6.

without going into details (but we can if you want), i am unhappy with imagine, and we are now looking into Pilotware.

if you do intend on getting involved with TEpX or HDlog, i would suggest you insist on getting a demo, to see how it plays with your setup

    Hi Edo,
We have been using TepX forever and at the beginning of January purchased TepHD to run on a Macbook pro. We used it during a recent trip to Africa and had no problems. We have a custom template for logging and used it also to offload our P2 cards. What problems are you experiencing? Our only “gripe” so far has been the price… This is our first experience with the OSX version, but so far so good.
Hope you get your logging problem sorted out. Dan Montgomery of Imagine has always been helpful to us.

    Cheers, Kim

Well, i dont know of tephd, maybe its an old name for hdlog? i have been getting a lot of attention from dan, only that we keep finding out it’s ‘not my fault’ but this bug or another. my main issue is, it does something wrong with the tc, so i cant capture logs. there is a ‘hidden’ field- Media Start & End, which should be the same as TC In / Out, but the app sets it to 00:00:00:00 Start and TC Out as Media End value.
