Looks like it’s available in July. I just read it in fine print on retina MBP tech specs.

Herb, may I suggest you buy one second-hand? You can avoid feeling bad about giving money to Apple for something you don’t really want, and you can feel good helping someone else on their path to a PC workstation.
I imagine you might even find some with a year or two of AppleCare left.

The Thunderbolt/GigE adapter is already in the Apple store for $29.

I’ve been looking. I’d rather not give my money to Apple but I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot either. Most of the used boxes I’ve seen listed are overpriced and overused from big supplier’s. Individual editor’s are often looking to sell complete systems, including monitor’s and I/O cards that I don’t need. If anyone out there has a 2010 box they’re looking to sell, then I’m interested.
