October 6, 2008 at 7:53 pmSorry Alex,
“changing your compressor from HDV to ProRes”
… means, rendering/exporting from my HDV 720p, 23,98 sequence using ProRes HQ? taking everything to a ProRes HQ sequence and render/export from there? or setting something in Compressor?
Thanks again, guys!

October 7, 2008 at 1:32 amThanks guys for the help.
I think that there were probably problems with my system since after troubleshooting my FCP texts look ok.
Related to my PS text, I´m still reading…
If I get to fix it, I will post the solution here.

October 7, 2008 at 7:43 amHi Omar – sorry, what I said about compressor settings may have been misleading. I’m not talking about Compressor (the software) I’m talking about your actual sequence compressor/render settings. Go to Sequence>Settings (or press CMD+0) and under ‘Compressor’ change it from HDV to ProRes (personally I don’t use ProRes HQ as I don’t see enough difference in quality to justify the higher file sizes, but it’s up to you.)

October 7, 2008 at 5:12 pmThanks Alex!
I´m following the advices to test the quality after exporting… I´ve been trying weird walkarounds as I love the “alternative logic” of the great editors out there, like trying vector objects and stuff, but I still don´t get a significant improvement.
So, that´s maybe the quality that it is.
Thanks again, everybody!

Once I was able to process all the information I found about how to improve graphics in our FCP projects, I solved the problem.
Thanks a lot
