May 1, 2006 at 3:54 amJohn,
The plan is to release a “Pro” version at a low price… I already have SMPTE working and am compiling other feature requests.
Once you have made your selects would you want to import those times directly into Flash for cue points? Or just markers into your editing software?

May 4, 2006 at 5:49 amright, so no one here has notices that syncvues claim of being first to market is not true. Cinesync has been going as a comertial product and used in production for 4 or 5. There was anotherone before that that I cant remeber the name of but it sucked anyway.
please look for your selves and dont listen to these list plants raving about a beta product they “could live without”. Its tragic.

Isnt it interesting that syncvues pricing structure is identical to cinespaces. I wonder if they know about each other? If you are going to get excited about something new (and beta) at least have a look around. You might be supprised.

May 4, 2006 at 12:24 pmIt’s unfair to point fingers about “plants.” While I don’t know any of the folks in this thread personally, I’ve seen their posts and interactions with others over the last couple of years and none are riding bandwagons. It would have been enough to simply mention the Cinesycn option. I for one hadn’t heard of either product. Thanks for the info. I will checkout Cinesync.

If you’re trying to imply that I started this thread as a “plant” you are very mistaken. If you know anything about my history on these forums (going back to 2001) you’ll know that one of the things people value is my honesty. I don’t promote products because someone asks me to. If I see something I like, then I will let the Cow community know.
I’ve never heard of CineSync, nor did I see them at the show. I found SyncVUE and that’s what I reported.
Now if you’re trying to “plant” information for CineSync, you’re free to do so, but don’t ever try to say that any information I provide for the Cow community is a plant.

May 5, 2006 at 1:17 amI’m not a plant, but I’ll be honest and say I am a beta tester for cineSync and have used it professionally pre-commercial release. I even have my name in the ‘About Box’ (my claim to fame).
“track record, used by post houses and productions of note. (rising sun pictures, ILM, harry potter 4, superman)”
ILM used it on War of the Worlds and Spielberg (apparently) preferred it to the satellite system they used before. It’s also currently being used on X-Men 3 as the review tool for the production. Skywalker sound (!) also use it for their reviews. At NAB Apple used it at NAB to demo their products. It’s built a pretty solid reputation with some world class and demanding clients… this has benefitted enormously its feature set, reliabilit, and interface… and its only going to get better.
c.f. syncVue which seems to have be aimed more at the broadcast and corporate world.

June 21, 2006 at 1:47 pmJosh,
I am interested in being able to capture times that get used as cue points in Flash. Is this possible with your program? If so, when might that be available? Thanks.
