May 20, 2012 at 3:13 pmbtw, how much effort is required to sit on one’s butt and type words hehehe
Not to sound like my dad, but my, have things changed.
I had to swap out the distributor cap on a late model BMW the other day.
Now that took some effort ; )
(just having a little fun is all)

May 20, 2012 at 7:45 pmClearly you are not a writer. But I will pose you a different question: How much energy does it take to follow a ball? It is a burst of energy to be sure. But what it also requires is focus. From production assistant all the way to the upper echelons of show business this is a profession that requires commitment and focus. Fixing an automobile of any sort or any era would be a lark for me. I always try to be careful in criticizing what other people do. Because I might be doing it tomorrow. Glad you’re having fun.

May 20, 2012 at 7:45 pm“Adobe People”…is that a musical group in which one of the people wears a Premiere Pro hat, one wears an After Effects hat, etc.? I don’t get the terminology here. It’s pretty alienating, actually. I see a great politicization of the editing world here, when someone is an AVID person, an FCPX person, a Premiere Pro person. Wouldn’t it just be simpler to refer to us all as Editors, who may well have tool preferences, but who cares? Cuts down on the feeling that some sort of attack is imminent.

May 20, 2012 at 8:01 pmI see those “Adobe People” all the time on the east end of Washington Square. And then there’s the “FCP 7 project” on the north side – I hear they are over. Avid hangs out on the south side and while I hear they don’t have a lot of ammo left they do have some pretty big guns. The Vegas people seem to hang out on Tompkins Square. FCP X? Financial District.

May 20, 2012 at 8:44 pmAnd clearly you are not a reader.
I wasn’t talking about editing.
Try again.
Effort in “changing the name. As in typing a different name for a “forum”
Get it?
I suggested changing the name, then he implied too much effort. That’s what I was referring to.
Too much effort to type in a different name sounded kind of funny to me.
So I was joking with him.
Get it?

May 20, 2012 at 9:40 pmTo put a finer point on it why do you think it’s necessary to add “hummmm?” If you wish me all the best then do so and leave it alone.
