    The ProRez version is a QT file, so you shouldn’t have problems playing it, since it’s a .mov.

    The Data Rate for the ProRez is about between 175.80 mbits/s and 211 mbits/s and it plays pretty good, there are slight hiccups, like I was saying before about every 10 to 15 frames.

    i looked at your sorenson piece, the play back seemed a bit strobe-like to me… i think if you were to lengthen the duration of the move and/or shorten the length of the list (scaling it down, reducing the text size and/or reduce the leading/line spacing) you should get smoother results.

    you know, i mentioned 10% yesterday… i really meant 1% of the height of the comp (sorry if i confused anybody– like, hey if i work in 1080 my credit list can move at a rate of 108 pixels/frame… ooops). your list looks like it moves at right about 10 pixels per frame, so i think if you go that down to 5-6 pixels per fame it will seem much smoother.

    so maybe the rule should be less than 1%…

    OK, I will give that a try and see what happens. What is the smallest font size I can be safe with within the HD spectrum, as well we will be downconverting it to a letterboxed SD master?

    I think the biggest issue is the text size, and the speed, so I will be handling that side of it first. I sent out a 1280 x 720 version and had similar results which leads me to believe that the size of my roll to it’s length needs to be addressed. I will give this a shot and see what happens, thanks everyone for your help

    @Dan
    What come of this? Did you figure it out? From what I can understand from the thread you just made the credits longer or slower? I’m having same issue right now with my credit scrawl right now but I can’t slow it down anymore than it is already.

    – white copy on black
    – working in AE
    – 1080i 23.98fps
    – speed and length of end credits is locked
    – I’ve tried everything from using an expression to calculate the pixels per second, reducing contrast, changed length (which only helps if it’s about 25% slower), making background lighter, blurring type slightly…all which either helped a tiny bit or nothing at all.

    Any help would be great?
