[Grahame Reid] “NB – you will need to re enter serial no etc”

If you’ve already installed Pro 9, then installing any update to it does not require you to re-enter your serial number as Vegas already knows what it is.

It might be important to point out that this is true only if you upgrade in place. If you uninstall the old and re-install the new you will be prompted for your serial number again and will need to re-authorize.

Apologies for the confusion. When I updated it must have re-installed and as John stated I had to re-enter my serial number and re-authorize.

    Thanks for the clarification John.
I’ve only had to do this once in all my years of being a Vegas user and had forgotten about that.

Wow, thank you SO much for getting back to me, regardless; that was just awesome of you!

Yes, I had gotten help through a MOD on this site by, I think, just uninstalling and reinstalling the program (and going into the registry to clean it up of Vegas files) and then everything worked just fine.

But I do hope your response does help someone else! Thank you again!
