December 16, 2011 at 5:14 amHere is another workaround where you do not have to disable GPU. In the track motion where you set the placement of the frame on the screen, try flipping that horizontally and then use the Pan/Crop event FX to flip it back again to cause the border to work correctly and having the image properly aligned.
The border feature of cookie cutter also works, but seems to be limited to the ratios of rectangular shapes it supports.

December 17, 2011 at 1:01 amThe new build 511 makes it worse. Now even the flipped image is messed up, but everything looks fine when you turn off the GPU Video Processing option.
The Pan/Crop dialog is for the preview frame on the right. notice the area selected for the crop and the resulting preview. It is offset and magnified. It matches the crop area exactly when I turn off the GPU. The image on the right used to work with the previous build of SVP 11.

February 29, 2012 at 7:31 amI just tried build 595 and it still had the same problem when I opened this test project. I did just discover, and not sure if it has to do with build 595, that if you rotate the frame in the pan crop tool all the way around 360 degrees, then the border shrinks to match the crop just like flipping the image horizontally did. It appears to border the whole frame when the angle is set to 0 degrees.

March 24, 2012 at 2:02 pmI had the same problem. I am on Build 595 64-bit.
I just tried reordering the plug-in chain, putting Border before Pan/Crop and it worked just the way it used to.
What seemed like a bug to me before now looks like a nice new feature.
