August 18, 2013 at 8:45 pmStephen I looked up this Vegas proxy method, your right it does look easier, I tried it with a few AVCHD clips and sadly my computer still couldnt seem to handle it!
It was only if i set it to preview quality and it played fine, but for some reason it plays it in 4:3 instead of the orginal widescreen resolution and its squeezed inwards too, not cropped..
I fear this will hinder the editing process if I cant see it in its original aspect ratio, I think I will just stick with my old longer method for now until Its time to buy a new computer!
Thanks for showing me this anyway now I have something to look forward to!
