    On 1″ Type “C”, timecode is on audio channel three. On standard Betacam, TC is on channel three.

    In the service manual for Digital Betacam,for example, the timecode audio track is just called “time code”. It is not given a number.

    If you insert edit video after laying anything on A3 you will overwrite it – A3 on Betacam is an FM track “under” the video.

    FWIW I too have never heard of putting TC on A3. A2 on a U-Matic yes. But not this.
