October 12, 2011 at 5:01 pmYes, you are using the correct slots.
Sascha provided a link to a CUDA test app he recommended in this thread:
https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/277/9638#9670
It seems to work well. Give that a shot and see what it looks like.
What OS version are you using? I think all the versions normally have proper support for GTX285 cards. What CUDA version are you using? I’ve read reports that Lion does not always install the CUDA stuff properly, so if you are on Lion, that could be an issue. But if so, the CUDA test should show that.

October 12, 2011 at 5:16 pmThanks for the app, it seems to be OK, measuring around 7-800Gflops.
And premiere can utilize the card for 4K r3d playback at quarter resolution.Versions:
Mac OSX version: 10.6.8
CUDA Driver version 4.0.50
GPU Driver version: 1.6.37.0I was ready to buy the Wave panel and the full version of Resolve, but now I’m a bit afraid – and I know the problem is on my side:(

October 12, 2011 at 5:31 pmI don’t think this should be needed for the GTX285, but it will work with it, and is required for the Q4000 card. So go to this link:
https://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-macosx-256.02.25f01-driver.html
And download and install the 256.02.25f01 driver, and see if that helps.
Also, if you could run the CaptureLogs app in the /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve path, it will create a .tgz file on your desktop. Send that file to davincihelp@blackmagic-design.com, along with your Mac .spx exported System Profile file, and we can take a look at those and see if there is anything strange looking.

Anyway, thank you very very much for helping! I’ll send the logs in an hour.
