So “Happy Otter Scripts” will take a single event, and copy/paste it at markers — an excellent thing that would be most helpful!
Not sure if this is 100% the same as “Paste at Markers”…. maybe?
Question — If you had multiple events selected across different tracks (lots of times titles are layered), OR had grouped events (also across different tracks), and chose “Paste at Markers”, would it paste them all and maintain their relative spacing and track placement? (this is what the traditional “paste” does on the timeline)

August 30, 2020 at 3:10 am“PasteAtMarkers” is the little script I just threw together that’s shown in the demo. HappyOtterScripts is a set of tools that is described here https://tools4vegas.com/.

No. At the moment, PasteAtMarkers takes a single event and simply copies it to the marker positions on the same track which sounds like the original request. Obviously, it could be made more complex, but at the moment, it’s quite simple.
I’ll upload it and make it available on my website tomorrow at the Free Tools Library https://tools4vegas.com/library/ since other users may find it useful.

August 30, 2020 at 3:45 amThat’s awesome you were able to put it together so quickly, no less make it available to others.. super-yay!
I was inquiring on the workings since John R. had posted elsewhere that Vegas scripting didn’t give access to the clipboard so I was wondering if it worked like the copy/paste command, and how you might have gotten access to the clipboard which I thought wasn’t doable. 😉

August 30, 2020 at 4:14 amIt doesn’t use the windows clipboard at all. It simply searches for the first selected video event. Once found, the event is simply “copied” to a new position on the same track that is defined by the position of each marker. It’s really quite simple.
At the moment, it only searches for video events. Audio events could easily be added. The events could then be “grouped”. I’ll give it some additional thought tomorrow. Suggestions are welcomed.

August 30, 2020 at 10:16 amYea, copying existing events that are already on the timeline is easy. It’s the Windows Clipboard that would be impossible. I think using an exiting event as Wayne has done is the same result in the end. In fact, it’s better because you don’t have to copy. You just select an event and run the script.

August 31, 2020 at 5:15 pmHappy Otter tool is AWESOME and one heck of a deal for $79! I use it all the time on older footage to deinterlace, uprez, sharpen and more. Much better than Vegas tools that supposedly do the same thing. It uses virtualdub, avisynth and other older proven toolsets as well as scripts that operate within Vegas. And Wayne is great for tech support and adding features that people recommend and need.
