The closest I have seen this being done was a normally authored DVD (with a bit of room to spare) then we added a folder for JPG’s at the highest level. The DVD still played, but the images were only viewable on a PC. That’s what the client wanted, so that’s what we gave them 🙂

    My system specs: Intel i7 970, GTX570, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 12 (x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

[kathreen anachioti] “the magazine have a very interesting review of all the major multimedia authoring programs”

That magazine is 20 years old. I doubt you could get any of those programs to even run on a modern computer.

Like I said… people don’t make these anymore. I really don’t know how you could accomplish this. I would make a normal DVD with a menu.

Did you try the program i recommended to you?
You can quickly download the trial and use it quite easily to create your DVD.
Its already set up to some degree, You can drag your video in it and burn same
time with good results, and you fidget around from there!

hi dear steve and sorry for the delay in thanking you for your reply

yes, i have checked the link you have gave me but i am looking for something else

please, let me explain that my problem is not to convert my videos but to create a dvd-rom with video and audio files (dvd-rom like those of computer and music magazine)

i have been told by a friend to try adobe’s flash

with flash i can create a welcome screen, the menus i need but i am afraid to say that flash is too expensive for me

a friend advice me for mediator pro or adobe director

if i cannot find the program i need i will try to create just a data dvd with all the videos i have to include

i am thinking to render those videos as windows media video of 3m sony vegas pro 8 template just to keep the size small

    thanks

Right now, for you, a Data DVD sounds like your best option then, Cause
You are being pointed to go into some dark places that you’ve mentioned here
    in this post, lol

Here is a video that will give you some Ideas
    https://youtu.be/jlOQsg-k6rQ

But to tell you the truth, I think the project your doing would be better done on Pinnacle Studio, as setting up a DVD WITH Multiple menus is much easier to do than it with Vegas. I have both Programs running on my computer. If your just putting the files on the timeline and not doing a whole lot of video editing and addons to the file on the timeline, that is the way I would go
