that was the problem. Never do it again, because HD are so cheap that is isn’t worth the whole mess.

It is always a good idea to experiment with small projects to understand how Media Manager works. The manual is only helpful to a certain extent. The terminology is poor. Most people freak at the option “delete unused media” It really should say “Consolidate Media” or “Don’t include unused media”.
Why not transfer the media back off the other system using Media Manager to Copy the sequence to an external.This time just do a straight copy without using “delete unused media” unless you want to further consolidate.
Drives are so cheap that this will be quicker (and therefore cheaper) than thousands of manual relinks or recapture off tape.
