    Herb,

That’s YOUR opinion. My experience has been different. People don’t “complain” about what’s working. Therefore, you get a bit of a warped view if all you’re reading about is complaints. Sure, there’s things that need fixing, but in the big picture, so many people would NOT have switched to FCP if it was in as bad a shape as some of the folks here are complaining about.

This situation is mirrored by our society at large. People that watch A LOT of TV news think that we live in a dangerous, violent society. Sure people end up dead everyday, but you’re much more likely to die in a car crash than be murdered by some drug crazed junkie.

Having the same problem here and its getting very old quick. HUGE project and eveytime it goes to another machine with a copy of all the source files, the “reconncet files in relative path” does not work. I must do them one at a time. Ive spoken to someone at apple about this and he had me try other things like exporting an xml and rebuilding a project file from that. I am running FCP 6 and this is happening. Ive noticed that if I do a FINDER copy of the capture scratch contents rather than a media manager copy, it SOMETIMES works. Im convinced that it is a glitch is FCP 6 because i have never had it happen to me before and i have always used this method. I am getting very frustrated with this software and and beginning to wonder why i am messing with it. I love apple and i love FCP but this and other stupid glitches are really turning me off. WE NEED THIS FIXED. ok im done venting…

    Mike
