and decide by your self. I do have a HD-D5 to

Sorry for the slow response… hope you’re still checking this thread.It’s HDV 1080i 59.94
For a little more info, the image is very pixelated (as is lowering resolution) and doesn’t play back in real-time.

compare.”I have and I can honestly say the Multibridge extreme hardware is most certainly up to any task regarding downconversion. Same for the Kona.
now the software down conversion is a whole other animal and definitely lacks the quality of the hardware downconverter.
