Believe me, I’ve had my share of those times too. Thankfully, knock on wood, I’ve had incredibly good luck so far with SATA drives. I’ve only had one drive blow out in four years, and thankfully it wasn’t part of a striped set. Doesn’t keep me from backing up to firewire though. I have nothing against a good Raid-5 setup, but I just keep finding other ways to spend my dough.
