Have you tried adding timecode tracks to media files by using Modify > Timecode within FCP?”very interesting….but with our workflow of AE and Maya artists – some of them don’t use FCP.
I was thinking they could just open quicktime player plug in a TC to save one of their rendered files for us…

May 3, 2007 at 1:00 amIt is great to see the TC finally implemented in QT. For years I had to have clients watch TC QT’s with a great little program called Sebsky’s tools.
The reason it would be nice to carry the TC over is this. Let’s say I capture everything to a DV codec ans then I want tp let compressor run for a day creating smaller files sizes for out of town producers, GFX people, ftp or waht ever reaons.
If the TC was carried over in the encode our lives would be much simpler. I don’t understand why Apple and QT team has taken all of this time to understand that TIMECODE IS EVERYTHING in post production. We don’t sneeze without thinking about TC.
I am sure they will refine this soon enough, but it is LONG overdue.
