Quick Time movies always look different.

I seem to be having the opposite problem with my dv footage when I play it back in quicktime the footage seems to look of higher quality and not pixelated than when I play it back in final cut pro, any idea why? I’ve actually opened the footage in several programs and the footage looks better in quicktime and the same in those other programs as in final cut. I’ve attached a photo:
