March 7, 2019 at 12:32 pmSo I tried less resolution in the export from PPRO to Encore. Now plays in Encore. However, whereas all the other test patters still look great…. Moving Zone Plate shows some degradation…..
I’m using MZP to set (or in most cases, disable) the MPEG Processing (Filters, Noise Reduction) as the image degrades with those settings ‘on’. MZP shows these artifacts easily….
Though I captured at high bandwidth, exported out of PPRO as High Bandwidth as possible, and Used highest bandwidth in Encore….. The signal isn’t as good as a TSG, but the one time I tested the BR compared to TSG into HDSDI to HDMI Converter, into a Broadcast Monitor and Consumer TV, the results were ‘close enough’ that the observed artifacts were useful in seeing a difference between Processing in set On vs. Off…
Moving Zone Plate shows these artifacts…. Zone Plate doesn’t… I’ve one other signal that approaches this….One called MPEGKILLER, but the one time I had access to this signal I didn’t set the capture Bandwidth has high as I did for MZP, and never got to compare it on a Broadcast and Consumer Display as I did MZP, and so, though it’s interesting to look at, I’m not trusting it as much as I do MZP….
