Question about ProRes Alpha channel in FCP 7

That was true in the Meridien Avid era. Avid now does it without hardware on THE SAME MACS that FCP runs on.

Kevin…are you saying the ProRes 4444 with alpha will key in real time…full quality…in a standard ProRes timeline ?? Or only in a ProRes 4444 sequence?
