    Hi Patrick,
Check to make sure your camera SDI output is set right (try the signal output on some other gear), then Check the setting of the AJA to make sure you got the dip switches right, sound a bit suss,
I use the cheaper AJA as i only use it for field and monitoring in the studio. all my P2 cards is injested via FCP and drag n drop into a HDD.

I think it was op error (me) as I had the dip sw swt at Componet for Y-C thinking that Y-C was component.

PS: Do you shoot with a so called crossover lens ? I just bought one and am disappointed how they do it, they just have an extender at 0.8 and call that 16:9 and results in the softness that extenders are known for at lower light scenes.

    Hi Patrick,
Hmmm, Dip switches, didn’t I mention about them…I put tape over them so they can’t be accidentaly knocked..
Isn’t a crossover lens one that converts 4×3 to 16:9 ?.correct me if i’m wrong.
You should always Rent prior to a purchase, most sales guys are thick.
I have a Fujinon A13x6.3 BERM-SD, it’s wide close in , which is about 65% of my work. and with doubler is great on sports , theater stuff ect. With the camera set to shoot 16:9 it’s great, not perfect, but hey what is ?.
    Cheers

I shoot the spx800 at 30p 16:9 Progressive and in that mode the spx800 by default adds a tad more shutter speed just below the lowest setting pf 1/100. I could overide slight shutter speed increase but that menu Diagnostic2 is not visible due to the past owner selecting it to be invisble; a Panasonic serice center would have to reset that Menu setting at this point.

Anyway, my S Vidoa saga continues to no avail.

I have Component SDI out SD ok, but when I try to get S-Video I get no chorma, I get just luminance. The settings on the D10CEA are Composite with YC and narrow blanking. What settings do you use for S-Video.

    Many thanks,

    Patrick

PS: Did you see that 17x-7.5 HD lens on Ebay ? I wonder how an HD lens would perform on the spx800 which of course is SD.

SAVE YOUR $ GO SONY ,

what a waste of $ besides not functioning after 17hrs of use the hand grip pops open as it pleases . the record comes on as son as it pwoers up and the Battery has to be removed to get it to stop.

many reports on bad internal wiring with having to send in to get repaired as well as expenisve P2 cards .
should have stuck with SOny sony sony after 20 years of having Panasonic products break down fall apart .. SONY SONY SONY
